Weekend Services at EP

In-Person Worship: Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m.

Each Sunday we gather for in-person worship services in the Sanctuary at 9 and 11 a.m. We also provide our online worship service on Sunday morning, which is a prerecorded service, available through our Facebook page and Vimeo page. Use the sign-up link below to sign up for one of the services. The deadline to sign up is 45 minutes prior to the start of the worship service. We encourage you to read through the detailed guidelines below as you prepare to worship in person.

Online Worship Service

Though we are meeting in person for worship in limited numbers, we want to continue to serve members of our family who choose to worship online. Please follow the buttons below for our online services.

Here are some of our upcoming, church-wide events

Operation Christmas Child

EP Church is excited to once again be a Drop Off Center for Operation Christmas Child! Collection week is November 15-23, and as in year’s past the drop-off location will be outside in the Portico Area. We will be taking Covid precautions as we operate our curbside drop-off area; for instance, we will have no more than six volunteers at a time and masks will be required at all times. Please sign up here.

Men of EP Work Day and Lunch

Men, join us on November 21 for a workday at EP and to help folks in need of help with yard work. Bring your family or come alone at 9 and work until noon. We will have lunch together on the field (appropriately masked and spaced) from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your own chairs. There are a number of jobs around the church facility that we will be doing to clean up for winter. Bring rakes and yard work equipment. More details about lunch and specific jobs coming as we get closer to the date. Sign up using the form or email Tom Beall.

December Blood Drive

Did you know that 30 pints of blood are used daily for patients at Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC)? To help meet that need, EP has 40 slots available for Blood Donors on Wednesday, December 2. If you are between the ages of 17 and 74, a minimum of 110 pounds, and in good health, you are eligible to donate blood. Available time slots will be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Please plan to arrive in the Portico area ten minutes prior to your time to register. Plan for the whole process to take less than one hour. Social distancing, masks and other guidelines will remain in place as specified by the State of Maryland and the CDC. For questions or more information please contact Nanci Hulting, 410-507-0660 or [email protected]

Christmas Gifts for Angel Tree Ministry

EP will once again join with Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree ministry to provide Christmas gifts and spread the joy of knowing Jesus Christ to children of incarcerated parents. This year, EP will sponsor 50 children. We are taking Covid precautions and inviting you to email Gayle Blizzard to learn how you, your family, or your group can purchase toy and clothing gifts or help with gift wrapping or delivery. All gifts can be dropped off at the church by Sunday, December 13.

Renew Groups for Fall 2020

Renew Fall 2020 has started! Join us as we journey through the book of Acts, learning about the impact Jesus’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension had on the world and watching in amazement as the Holy Spirit’s power transforms the lives of men, women, and children in the early church. Join a Renew Group where you’ll be encouraged and challenged to live out your faith. Renew pairs our sermon series with our small group study guides. On Saturdays and Sundays, our pastors will preach through the book of Acts and Renew Groups will discuss the passages when they meet each week. Registration is open, and you can join a group anytime. They meet at church, in homes, or online.

Hinged @ Home Women’s Event

Home—it’s where we live and worship, where we make meals and raise kids and do so much more. It is also our eternal destination. A hinge—it’s a utilitarian piece of hardware; its job is to connect two pieces together and make them useful. We are bringing these two ideas together to help us think about hinging with our spiritual family around the truth as we walk together until we get home. Sheltering in place and unrest in our country have left many longing for meaningful conversations and lasting connections.

That is why we need to be vitally connected—hinged—to Christ and each other as the church. The PCA Women’s Ministry is making this conference available to women around the world, and you will have access until December 15. During this time, gather some women to watch the session with you. We want to connect with you and connect you with one another!

Prayer for Next Senior Pastor

Each Tuesday evening, the Session hosts a prayer gathering as we seek God’s leading for our Senior Pastor search. If you would like to participate and support that effort, join us online at 7:30 p.m. Please email Chris Jensen if you need more detailed information.

West Annapolis Pop Up Pantry

West Annapolis Pop Up Pantry and the Center for Help are working together to help those in our community during these difficult times. Each week, after our Thursday deliveries take place, we need your help restocking for the following week. Amy Marshall is helping to coordinate this great opportunity. If you are available to help deliver food on Thursdays, please text 410-491-5070.

Come on out and volunteer Saturday mornings at the Pop Up Pantry. The volunteer crew is looking for helpers for set-up, donations, and clean up. Please contact Laurie Nelson, [email protected], for the link to view the schedule and sign-up, or follow the Pop Up Pantry on Facebook.

DivorceCare

Help is available for those experiencing the crisis of separation or divorce. DivorceCare is a weekly seminar and support group that will help you heal from the hurt. It’s a caring, safe environment led by people who understand what you are going through, where you can learn practical information and gain hope for your future. We meet on Zoom on Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. each week. Though we started in September, you can join anytime. Watch this introductory video and share this information with anyone who might benefit from this gospel-centered support group. Sign up here or contact Diane Schmincke for details.
