Bruce O'Neil

Senior Pastor

Bruce O’Neil is the senior pastor of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis. He and his wife, Kathy, have three grown children: Sarah, Mike, and Matt. Bruce graduated from Auburn University with a BA in Political Science from Auburn University, an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary and a DMin from New Geneva Theological Seminary. Bruce has been a teacher and principal of a high school and has worked for the Navigators on two college campuses. He has served pastorates in Tennessee and Alabama before moving to Annapolis over 11 years ago.

Zach Miller

Chief Operating Minister, Chief of Staff

Zach oversees our operations and staff and loves empowering people to minister both inside and outside of the church. Zach has an MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminar and BS in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Florda. (Go Gators!) Before transitioning to full time ministry over a decade ago, Zach spend 20 years in the corporate world. He and his wife Kim have two children, Zachary and Olivia. He loves surfing, paddle boarding, skiing, and restoring old cars.

Dan Smith

Congregational Care Pastor

Dan is a native of the Annapolis area, and came to faith in Christ as a high school student right here at EP. A graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, he oversees our ministries that provide care and support to people going through seasons of struggle and transition, helping them regain spiritual and emotional health to re-engage in our mission—seeking the renewal of Annapolis. Dan and his wife, Sandy, have three grown children and reside in Millersville.

Tom Beall

Community Coordinator

Tom’s passion is to help people grow in their love for our Lord. A staff person at EP for over 25 years, he has helped our multigenerational congregation use their gifts for ministry and to get involved in God’s kingdom work. Tom and his wife Mary enjoy spending time with their kids and grandkids. When not at EP, you’ll find Tom outdoors on the bay fishing or at work in the garden.

Ruth Burge

Worship Administrator

Ruth has joyfully used her musical gifts and training in the worship ministry at EP since 1974. Currently she is serving in an administrative role helping with printed materials, music preparation and organization, visual projection work, and other miscellaneous tasks. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from Drake University. She and her husband Jim have four grown children and 18 grandchildren with whom they love spending time. She is also the church’s librarian.

Linda Cate

Director of Children's Ministry

As a parent myself, I know how important it is that church is a place where my kids feel welcomed and cared for. Having served in Children’s Ministry for many years, I can testify to what a difference a fun, safe environment to learn about God can make in a child’s life. We serve a God who loves children and promises to guide them as they mature in their faith. It is my team’s honor to teach kids each week and to offer support and encouragement to their parents as they raise their children.

John Cavallaro

Director of High School Ministry

John’s first day of work at EP was getting on the bus to head to middle school camp. Now directing the High School Ministry, John is passionate about sharing Christ and his hear resonates with 3 John 4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” A graduate of New Geneva Theological Seminar and in full-time ministry since 1989, John lives out his faith by being prayerful about opportunities to bring his to bear as he lives. A strong cup of coffee and kayaking in the Chesapeake are John’s go-to ways to relax and enjoy life.

With over 25 years of ministry experience, Megan brings Jesus and joy to all of her interactions. Having joined the staff in the fall of 2017, Megan is passionate about relationship-based ministry and reaching kids with the gospel right where they are. She is a strong developer of teams that focus on discipleship and outreach opportunities. Megan and her family are thrilled to be part of the EP Church family.

Since high school, David has had a passion for leading worship music and serving in God’s kingdom. Having started playing piano at the age of nine, he loves the way worship music connects us to God in a personal way, teaches us of His character, and gives praise to our heavenly Father. As a member of the worship team, he hopes to encourage people in their faith and share the good news of what Jesus did on the cross. David is excited for his time here in Annapolis and seeing all the work God is doing in this community.

Jonathan Harris

Jonathan has been actively involved in music ministry for the past seven years, using his guitar and vocal skills for God's glory. He Has worked with EP since fall of 2017 and loves his time leading worship for the youth ministries and playing with the band on Sunday mornings. He has a passion for worship ministry and loves to help people come to a place of worship. Jonathan also loves to spend time getting to know people in the church and connecting people with others so they can walk together in faith. Most of all Jonathan loves Jesus, and he wants to live a lifestyle that reflects his Heavenly Father and helps others come to know Him as well.

Cheryl Mullis

Cheryl loves spending time investing in women, hearing their stories, and watching them grow as they learn to follow Jesus. She is passionate about studying and teaching God’s Word and delights in helping others understand how deeply they are loved by God. Married to her husband Don for over 30 years, Cheryl and Don have five wonderful children, one amazing daughter-in-law and two gracious son-in-laws, and six very active grandchildren. Traveling, chatting with friends, and reading a good novel at the ocean are Cheryl’s favorite past times.

Nancy Sherwood

Ministry Assistant

Nancy enjoys meeting and helping the wonderful people of EP connect with ministry, whether through her work in the office, curating the bulletin, or helping with mercy needs. A native New Englander, she has slowly worked her way down the East Coast, having lived in New Hampshire, Boston, Connecticut, New York, and now Maryland. She has been married to her husband Clint for 30 years and they have two adult children, Andrew and Hannah. She has served in administrative roles in a variety of contexts, including Christian radio and education. Nancy has a BA in English from Gordon College, and, as a result, loves to fix typos or get lost in a good book.

Jamie Stadler

Director of Choirs

Jamie Stadler, director of choirs, has been in the church music ministry for over 20 years. She has a particular passion for worship education within the church (1 Chronicles 25:6—8) and training adults and children to use their creative gifts to bring glory to God and as a tool for outreach. For 10 years, Jamie was the director of the Celebration Academy of the Arts, a ministry of First Baptist Church of Raytown in Kansas City, Missouri. She later co-founded and directed the Hilltown Creative Arts Academy in Bucks County, Pennsylvania (now run by Cairn University and renamed Cairn Community Arts Academy). Both offered courses by degreed teachers in music, art, and drama, plus dance (in Mo.), and the literary arts (in Pa.). Concurrently, she has taught piano and directed children’s choirs. Jamie has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She and her husband, Dave, are avid sailors and have lived in Annapolis since 2014.

Isaac Vineyard

College Ministry Co-Coordinator

Isaac helps college students think about their place in the world and discover and follow their passions so they can live exciting and fulfilling lives. He went to college at Dallas Baptist University, graduate school at Liberty University, and seminary at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, but he really likes to learn by meeting people, hearing their stories, and engaging in conversation. Isaac loves reading good books and watching baseball games (good or bad), but mostly he loves college students and the thrill of helping them grab a vision for how they can serve Jesus with their entire lives.
