Who: Upward Bound backpackers are students aged 5, by July 7, through those who have completed 5th grade.
What: At our week-long program, we will sing, play games, hear from storytellers, make crafts, and enjoy tasty snacks! While doing all that, backpackers will track Jesus’s perilous journey from the Courts of Heaven to the cross and back again, encouraging them to make their own life-long upward-bound trek to the Summit by the power of the Holy Spirit through faith in Christ.
When: July 7 – 11 from 8:45 to 12:00 each day.
Where: Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis (known as “EP”) at 710 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401.
Why: By God’s grace, this special week will lead our children to love and worship Jesus Christ, deepen their knowledge of and love for the Word of God, increase their enthusiasm for memorizing Scripture, teach them the gospel, and equip them to share it.
Sidenote: If you are an adult and are wondering how you can participate in this year’s program, here’s your chance! We need teachers, helpers, drama, snack chefs, music enthusiasts, and substitutes. Sign up to save your volunteer spot here. Also, childcare is available for children of volunteers who are too young to participate in the program. If volunteers have a 4-year-old, they are also welcome to participate in the full VBS program if the parent is helping somewhere on the property.
