This class will challenge us to wrestle with the big picture of gospel-centered parenting. Our aim is to prepare ourselves in heart and mind to respond to all that parenting entails in ways that encourage and build up our children. Only then will we find rest and assurance in trusting how God will use us for His purposes in the lives of our children.
Upcoming Events at EP
Our goal with Project Backpack is to create 200 backpacks for our friends at Woodside Gardens and Iglesia de Dios. Each backpack is filled with back-to-school supplies and costs $30 to assemble. To donate to this effort as well as other ministries to these children you can make a check out to EP Church with ‘Project Backpack’ in the memo. Join us on Saturday, August 19, from 9-11 a.m. to assemble and deliver backpacks. For questions, contact Laurie Nelson.
Fire Pit Chat
All are invited to join EP’s Read Through the Bible Group in the EP Field on Thursday, August 12, at 7 p.m. for an evening of sharing and encouragement as we discuss the readings for July and August. Bring a lawn chair, your Bible, and a bottle of water—we’ll provide the S’Mores! Contact Peggy Parker for information.
Pray First Monthly Meeting
Join us on Sunday, August 1, to pray for our church and God’s leading for our Senior Pastor search. This is a wonderful opportunity to join as a church family and lift our voices to our Lord. Questions about how to participate? Contact Brian and Leigh Miller.
Big Beach Weekend for High Schoolers
On July 30 to August 2, out high schoolers head to Harvey Cedars for Big Beach Weekend—three days full of music, games, speakers and more. You can visit the Big Beach Weekend website for more information and to register.
Joining a Renew Group is one of the best ways to engage in the life of our church. In a group, you will be encouraged to learn more about Jesus and live out your faith. Renew pairs our sermon series with our small group study guides. Each week, our pastors preach through Acts and Renew Groups discuss the passages when they meet. Registration is open, and you can join a group anytime.
Two Opportunities for Women to Study God’s Word Together
The summer is a great time of year to dive into Scripture with a group of women. The first is with Pam Polk, who will facilitate a discussion about Susan Tyner’s video series, “What’s SHE Doing Here: The Messy Women in Jesus’s Genealogy.” This group will meet in the women’s ministry office at church and on Zoom on Wednesdays from 6-8:30 p.m. The second opportunity is with Cheryl Mullis, who on Sundays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. is reading Jen Wilkin’s book Ten Words to Live By: Delighting in and Doing What God Commands. If you are interested in learning more about how to join one of these groups, please email Cheryl Mullis.
Find Help and Give Help
Whether you need financial or food assistance or you want to serve our community, find the information you need on our Find Help page. There you’ll see information on the West Annapolis and Woodside Garden Pantries, financial assistance, and a prayer request form.
