Meet Your ReEPers
  If you are new to EP, we would like to introduce the ReEPers to anyone uncertain of who we are and what we do. If you have retired, even once, you and your spouse, if married, are invited to every ReEPer event! The group originated with Pastor Art Bonney and his wife, Jean. It’s purpose was to afford comfortable means to get to know other retirees in the EP family while meeting in various homes. We praise the Lord that an initial eighteen to twenty members has mushroomed to a hundred or more.
 
  As the group has grown in number, it has increased and varied its activities to include trips, potlucks, retreats, dinners, picnics, overnights, and even possible cruises. In many way, it has become a ministry to members and nonmembers who may have particular physical or spiritual needs. Some members deliver meals, transport to appointments, teach or participate in Bible Studies, visit assisted living establishments. Single women are links in a prayer chain, who prepare and deliver meals to homebound, provide accompaniment, counsel, preach and teach. Among the ReEPers you may meet Deacons, Elders, Sunday School Teachers, even retired Pastors, and all the rest of us! Activities that have become traditional favorites include: The Christmas Dinner, February Soup and Salad, Spring Special, Late Summer Shrimp and Chicken Picnic and the Fall Retreat at Ocean City. A volunteer Steering Committee, currently chaired by Jack and Orletta Gillikin, meets periodically in a member home to discuss immediate and future plans. Each ReEPer feels that reaping with ReEPers is a very special privilege. It would be our pleasure to have YOU join us.
